Created in 2008, the Sacyr Foundation is an organization desgined to maximize the real and potential positive impact of the group's activities through social action, innovation and volunteer work in favor of society and the environment. The Foundation also strives to maximize our projects' effects on the environs and influence area of our activities.

Mission, vission and values

Mission

To contribute to the development of a better, more just, inclusive and sustainable society thanks to our innovative approach, commitment to the enviroment and bid on the personal and career development of our diverse workforce.

Vision

To remain a benchmark and example driver agent in the promotion of the well-being and sustaianble developments of the regions where we develop our activities, by undertaking initiatives grouped into three action lines: the promotion of innovation as a tool to understand the world surrounding us, social action to boost the progress of groups at risk and corporate volunteer work.

Values

These six values define us, guide our path and and set our course of action. Values that inspire all orihect stages and feed into our social action proposal.

Action lines

Healthcare

We contribute to rare disease research and partner with several foundations and non-profits fighting for the wellbeing of cancer patients and working on heart disease awareness and prevention.

Disabilities

We work with foundations specializing in disabilities, with a person and family-centered approach, promoting their inclusion and career development.

Emergencies

We mitigate and provide humanitarian relief in emergency situations in multiple countries by granting access to drinking water, improving food and hygiene and the wellbeing of people in extreme situations.

Inclusion

We collab with organizations facilitating the inclusion of people in vulnerable situations. We provide career orientation to young men and women looking for a better future and keep seniors company to fight unwanted loneliness.

Environment

We strive to protect biodiversity in all our projects and contribute to society with beach, seabed and forest cleanups. We promote beekeeping development plans and plant trees around the globe, thus offsetting our CO2 emissions.

Children

We are committed to promoting and protecting the rights of children and teens at risk.

Volunteer work

Many Sacyr employees volunteer their time to help in cleanups, soup kitchens, give career advice to young people about their professional futures or do leisure activities with people with disabilties. They are the heart of the Sacyr Foundation.
