Sacyr and RedStack have entered into an agreement to develop electrodialysis technologies that produce both desalinated water—for industrial, drinking, or agricultural use—and renewable energy.

A pilot plant of Sacyr Water's Hyreward Project, which uses reverse electrodialysis (RED) technology, was launched last week at the Alicante desalination plant. Thus, we started producing  our first blue energy kW.

We have installed a modular desalination plant through Sacyr Water in collaboration with the Universidad de Playa Ancha and we are assessing how to use saltwater and groundwater to apply desalination in industrial facilities.
