A group of volunteers from the Health and Safety area at Sacyr's Corporate General Management department took part in a team building magic workshop activity organized by the Abracadabra Foundation last September 21st.
With the collaboration of the Sacyr Foundation, this organization brings magic to people with disabilities and seniors in homes and day care centers.
The agreement between the two organizations includes six magic workshops to be held throughout the year; three of which have already been held, in which Sacyr volunteers can share unique moments with the magicians of this Foundation.
The workshop was held at the ANDE Foundation's San Vicente Care Home (Madrid), pioneers in Spain in the care of people with disabilities.
Abracadabra Foundation aims to carry out magic and illusion activities for disadvantaged people or groups, both children and adults, in hospitals, care homes, reception centers or in any type of institution.
In this way, the Sacyr Foundation and Abracadabra Foundation, help lift the spirits of the facility users, thus improving their quality of life. These activities also promote social integration and help improve communication and emotional skills through magic.
The remaining workshops will be held in the upcoming months in two residences and in a day care center for people with disabilities.
