We mobilize for Valencia after the floods

This year, the Board of Trustees of the Sacyr Foundation has approved nearly twice as many activities by March compared to the same period last year. Some of these initiatives aim to mitigate the disaster caused by flooding in Valencian towns.

In total, the Board has approved 56 activities, compared to 31 approved by March of last year. Many of these are focused on supporting associations in Valencia such as the Association of Workers and Technicians Without Borders + SOS Valencia, Casa Caridad, Educo, Fundación Colisée, Red Acoge, and FEVADIS.

The associations and foundations we are supporting through the Foundation align with our six key areas of action: healthcare, disability, emergency response, social inclusion, childhood, and the environment.

Of all the approved activities, 41 will take place in Spain, six in Colombia, three in Peru, two in Chile, and four in the United States.

Sacyr Foundation Activities in April

On another note, here is a look at the Foundation’s activity calendar for April. We began this week by supporting World Autism Awareness Day (April 2) with various initiatives, and we will continue with our well-known collaboration with Manos de Ayuda Social in their kitchens in Paracuellos del Jarama (Madrid). On April 25, we will host a WeRSoCial session with our volunteers from Mauritania to learn about their experiences in the country.
