In Colombia, the Unión Vial Camino del Pacífico P3 company, in collaboration with the Foundation, organized a volunteer day at the main campus of the Etnoeducativa Institution in San Pedro Claver, located in the El Naranjo district, and at its Simón Bolívar campus in La Victoria, a rural area in the municipality of Dagua.
A total of 40 volunteers, along with parents and students, helped beautify these educational institutions by painting spaces, planting greenery, and providing school supplies. As a result, 300 children benefited from these improvements.
In Piura, Peru, Misiones Salesianas operates the Bosconia Technical-Productive Education Center (CETPRO Bosconia), an inclusive educational institution that ensures all children and young people have access to quality learning, regardless of their physical, intellectual, or social conditions.
Thanks to the Sacyr Foundation, this center has become a more accessible and inclusive space for 80 young people with disabilities or reduced mobility each year. Our efforts have enabled several key improvements:
- Installation of two adapted restrooms.
- Ongoing efforts to install an elevator.
- Replacement of control valves in sanitary facilities to reduce water consumption.
Also in Peru, children at La Casita Ronald McDonald experienced a magical day thanks to Sacyr Peru employees, who arrived with open hearts to bring moments of joy and creativity to children staying there with their families while receiving medical treatment.
The volunteers engaged the children in fun activities, including crafting small figurines from recycled materials and creating colorful drawings.
