The Sacyr Foundation, in the framework of its long-standing partnership with Libera project, participated in a sea bed clean-up in Melilla last weekend.
This action in particular was launched by SEO/Birdlife and Ecoembes, with the collaboration of more than 1,000 volunteers mobilized by the Marine Watchers Network.
The volunteers have removed from the sea about 60 kilos of garbage, including a staggering amount of plastic (more than 2,000 pieces), as well as other types of trash: discarded nets, wood, metal elements, glass and even shoe soles.
A TV report of the activity is available here.
