The Sacyr Foundation shows its commitment to diversity and cultural inclusion by supporting the Fundación Down Madrid in its international art contest for people with intellectual disabilities.
Before the exhibit, which will be inaugurated on October 17, the winners were selected, after a first round that attracted 150 pieces from different artists. After a first selection, the jury of the contest convened at Down Madrid. The jury consisted of: Pedro Alonso, executive director of the Sacyr Foundation and Chief communication Officer of Sacyr; Evelio Acevedo, Managing director of the Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza; José Gabriel Astudillo, chairman of the Asociación Española de Pintores y Escultores; Liuba Korolkova illustrator; José Martínez: artist with a disability from Down Madrid; Ignacio Egea, president of the trust of Down Madrid and Elena Escalona general director of Down Madrid.
The jury has chosen three winners for the two different categories. On October 17 the pieces will exhibited at the Centro Cultural Galileo, on display for anyone who wants to visit until November 27.
