Huella came to Sacyr in early 2021, in pursuit of her destiny to become an assistance dog. For 10 months she has lived with Cristina Losana, a fellow Sacyr colleague, who volunteered her home to foster Huella. Cristina and her two children, their other Labrador dog and two turtles have worked hard to prepare Huella for her training at Bocalán.
Huella is now at Fundación Bocalán, where she received a warm welcome from her trainers to-be and the other dogs that go through the same training. In this new period, the trainers explained, Huella will receive all kinds of stimuli and training. It is also during this period that Bocalán will decide which child she is the best match for, whether they are children with disabilities, or Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), like Reto, our first assistance dog.
