This way, we bring magic home to people with disabilities and seniors in retirement homes and day care homes.
Our activities this year include six magic workshops -three of which have already taken place- where Sacyr volunteers can share once-in-a-lifetime moments with Fundación Abracadabra magicians.
Fundación Abracadabra's mission is to organize magic and illusion activities for disadvantaged people or groups, both kids and adults in hospital, retirement homes, homeless shelters and other institutions.
Through this partnership, the Sacyr Foundation and Fundación Abracadabra, improve the quality of life of children in hospital by brightening their day, promote the inclusion of people at risk, and help them improve their communication and emotional intelligence skills through this magic.
Sacyr volunteers visited San Fernando occupational center in Madrid to hold a magic workshop for center users. Three other workshops will be held in the remainder of the year, two in retirement homes and another in a day care center.
