This program was carried out at our Condesa de Venadito offices with a great turnout from both volunteers and the kids.
The project lasted for five days, in which the kids from Fundación Exit came to the Sacyr headquarters and had the opportunity to learn first-hand how a company works and how to face their future careers.
On the last day, our five Sacyr volunteers (Juan Carlos Cermeño, Lucía Galván, Luis Enrique García Urueña, Teresa Durán and Nieves Polanco) bid farewell to their mentees at an event held in the Casa del Libro at the Matadero de Madrid, that included multiple activities and some heartwarming moments.
Teresa Durán, one of our volunteers lived a very special moment with María, her coachee, the girl she had the opportunity to help. Teresa added that María’s mom reached out to her “emotional, thankful to the Foundation and its volunteers for the work done with her daughter, and most of all, for reminding her, as a mom, that her daughter is full of light, and initiatives like this can help other kids like her”.
The experience was a huge success: the kids were able to hone their skills and regained their motivation to not give up on their studies, they were able to see how multiple company areas that also got involved in the initiate work and the volunteers created a “marvelous and unforgettable” bond.
The Sacyr Foundation remains committed to the education of our youths and collaborates to support them in their careers.
