This meeting is the first climate positive event in the network, meaning it will cause positive impacts on the environment, by monitoring energy and consumtion impacts in real time.
Back in December 2021, UN member states reafirmed their support to the Un Global Compact to involve the private sector in the fulfillment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), with a new resolution adopted by the Unite Nations General Assembly.
After the meeting, there was an event open to the public to raise awareness on sustainability and how to apply innovation and creativity to processes, under the hashtag #moversdelasostenibilidad .
The UN Global Compact network seeks greater commitment from private sector organizations for sustainable economy with responsible practices to accelerate progress on the achievement of the 2030 Agenda.
