The Sacyr Foundation and Fundación Emalaikat work in Turkana, a region North of Kenya, where we develop projects since 2008.
Recently, in Kokuselei, an area with complicated geographic conditions we have developed a new healthcare program with medical personnel that attends the different residential areas to aid in emergencies.
Along the same lines, we have supported food, water and primary care programs to bring medical professionals to vaccinate kids and give close-up attention to both children and pregnant women.
Kokuselei is an area with difficult geographic conditions. Due to its aridity, agriculture and livestock development is hard. Access is complicated and it makes transporting food difficulty. Consequently, part of the population is nomadic.
The Sacyr Foundation, in line with the SDGs, we confer great strategic value to working with organizations like Emalaikat, which help the development of areas at risk of exclusion.
Fundación Emalaikat is active in Malawi and Ethiopia, besides Kenya. The organization is cognizant of the progress of these societies and it is particularly focused on hygiene to fight Covid-19.
