Thanks to the collection of bottle caps carried out by the Sacyr team at the Chiclayo Airport, the Sacyr Foundation has managed to deliver 204 kg of plastic bottle caps to the Angelitos de Cristal program.
The program has asked for help from the community to collect plastic bottle caps, so that by recycling them, they can generate profits and purchase essential medical supplies. Through this deliver, the Sacyr Foundation supports the purchase of special dressings or bandages to protect the program’s users from friction, and fortified milk to ensure quality food.
Angelitos de Cristal is an initiative from the Instituto Nacional de Salud del Niño (INSN) that focuses on children with Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) and offering them medical attention and social and psychological care. This genetic disease causes extreme fragility of the skin and can affect the mucous membranes; any friction or simply eating causes pain and deep lesions.
