The Fundación Amica has the aim of “finding every person’s abilities when a disability appears in life, getting society involved in the process of change to facilitate participation and equality”. Amica strives to become an example in social innovation, spreading models that bring us closer to fulfilling the SDGs, putting the focus on people. Amica is an organization of people with disabilities, relatives, and professionals.
The Sacyr Foundation is going to cooperate in a project with Fundación Amica to provide them with the necessary technology to put at the service of people with disability. This initiative has acquired increasing impact and relevancy in these past few years, due to newer needs of people with disabilities and their families having been detected since the early Covid lockdowns in terms of accessible technology.
Thus, to us, it is a priority that Amica has access to the technological resources it needs, adapted to each center’s needs, as well as a training plan for its use. To make this agreement official, Ángel González Reviriego and Francisco José Pescador, from the Sacyr Environment team, visited the center.
