We reaffirm our commitment to the fight against cancer

On February 4th we observe World Cancer Day and we highlight the firm commitment of our Foundation in the fight against this disease, collaborating with various entities to promote research, patient support and prevention.

Last year, ended the IV Sacyr Foundation Week with a large contribution to Cris contra el Cáncer. The more than 40 international actions organized during that week added up to 3,000 euros in solidarity contributions for this entity with the aim of promoting its research against childhood sarcoma.

Our support for key organizations working to fight cancer is unceasing. Our collaboration with the Contigo Foundation focuses on promoting research projects that contribute to preventing and curbing female cancer.

Through our support for the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC), we reinforce our commitment to research and comprehensive support for patients and families. Last year we collaborated with several talks that our employees were able to attend, focusing on cancer prevention tips, breast cancer and skin cancer.

The Sacyr Foundation also supports the Oncology Children's Association of Madrid - ASION, collaborating in a summer camp for children undergoing cancer treatment. This camp works on the psychosocial needs of the children and their siblings, addressing issues such as acceptance of sequelae, self-esteem and social integration.

In addition, the Sacyr Foundation supports the Blas Méndez Ponce Foundation in the "Smile of the Sun" project, which seeks to improve the quality of life of children and adolescents undergoing cancer treatment through leisure and free time activities.

In the United States, the Sacyr Foundation collaborates with the Cancer Association of Louisiana, providing support for programs and services for cancer patients and their families in the region.

In addition, the Sacyr Foundation has collaborated with the Peruvian Cancer Foundation (FPC) in the construction and equipping of multi-purpose modules at the Frieda Heller shelter in Peru. These modules are intended to care for cancer patients and their families, offering nutrition, mental health and physical therapy consultations.

These collaborations reflect the Sacyr Foundation's commitment to social welfare and improving the quality of life of people affected by cancer, reaffirming its mission to build a fairer, more inclusive and sustainable society.
