The Sacyr Foundation collaborates once again to do ocean cleanups in Melilla. We participate in this initiative by colaborating with the Asociación Melillense de submarinismo.
Our commitment to sustainability and a constant improvement strategy in our services are manifest in all the activities it executes, such as the street cleaning and waste collection services in Melilla, performed by our colleagues from Valoriza.
Environmental care and biodiversity are included in Sacyr’s and the Sacyr Foundation's strategy. The Sacyr Foundation has collaborated with the local Melilla scuba diving association for the past two years on several ocean cleanup campaigns in the Autonomous City. In fact, some Valoriza employees participated in the fifth edition of the Grand International Ocean Cleanup in Melilla.
Asociación Melillense de Submarinismo
The ‘Asociación Melillense de Submarinismo’ is part of the ‘Red de Vigilantes Marinos’ (Sea Watchers network), an initiative by NGO ‘Oceánidas’, that seeks to keep the seas and oceans clean, and their ecosystems trash-free.
