The Sacyr Foundation has entered into a collaboration agreement with the Chamber of Commerce of Peru to work in the field of human rights.
The Chamber has launched a project aimed at promoting the use of Due Diligence in Human Rights (social and ethical obligation to comply with current regulations) as a management tool to prevent social conflicts and provide greater legal guarantees to its projects outside of Europe.
The Chamber will design a training program on due diligence concerning business and human rights, which includes workshops, monitoring compliance with regulations, and organizing business forums.
The Sacyr Foundation commits to carrying out actions that contribute to the promotion of corporate due diligence in its projects in Peru and to participating in training workshops, forums, and monitoring compliance with international regulations in its value chain, especially with its SME suppliers.
The Chamber of Peru will accompany a certain group of companies, and their teams in Peru and Spain, in the process of adapting their business models to the new regulatory frameworks being developed in Europe with the European Directive on Due Diligence in Human Rights and its adaptation to Spanish regulations.
